An Ongoing Case of Keloid Managed with Homeopathy!!!

A Keloid scar is a raised, firm, and often shiny scar that forms after a skin injury, extending beyond the original wound boundaries and not regressing over time.
Keloid’s are an abnormal overgrowth of scar tissue that occurs as a result of excessive collagen production during the healing process.
Causes: Keloid’s can develop after any skin injury, including cuts, burns, acne, piercings, tattoos, surgical incisions, or even minor scratches.

CASE OF FEMALE AGED 14 YEAR GIRL HAVING KELOID SCAR ON LEG!!!

A 14 Year old girl presented with keloid scar on bilateral legs oven shin .
She presented with severe itching ++ , with dryness which leads to oozing of liquid and or blood.
Associated complaints: Pre-menstrual pains with leucorrhoea [white discharge] , Chronic Constipation passes motions every alternate day with straining.
Onset of Complaints : since 4 years , started with 1 big lesion on upper side over shin and after 8-9 months other small lesions started developing.
She had been adviced to get it surgically removed but family opted for Homeopathy being a safe method than surgical intervention.

Homeopathy Approach and Progress:

A detailed case taking was done and Homeopathic Similimum was prescribed to the Patient.
Follow up after 2months : Patient said her constipation showed drastic improvement and itching reduced by 10% , there had been episodes of bleeding from the lesion as well.
Follow up after 6 months : A detailed follow up after 6 month shows the itching reduced by 50% , the itch pattern did not continue throughout the day as well. There had been 3 episodes of blood oozing from the shin lesion.
Recent Follow up after 1year 2months: The other lesions shrinked in size , the upper shin lesion shrinked in size with ridge like presentation better by 40% , no episodic bleeding or ozzing from the lesion. Her constipation has improved and Pre- menstrual pains have reduced .
