Hyperprolactinemia is a condition characterized by abnormally high levels of prolactin in the blood. Prolactin is a hormone primarily associated with breast milk production, but it also plays a role in female reproductive health and can affect both men and women.
Elevated prolactin levels can cause various symptoms, including menstrual irregularities, infertility, and in some cases, galactorrhoea (milky nipple discharge)
Case Of Hyperprolactinimia in female with PCOS.
A female aged 32 years married presented to clinic with irregular Menstrual cycles from 1 year
She had heavy Bleeding which lasts for 10 days with Black Clots.
This resulted or rather contributed to her History of Female infertility wherein due to excessive prolactin interferes with ovulation and disrupts the menstrual cycle.
Cycles :50-60 days since a year .
Homeopathic Approach:
After understanding the general picture a detailed Homeopathy case taking helped in prescribing the Medicine which helped the patient with reducing her Prolactin and improving her Cycles.
She had a traumatic Mental History at Work and Family which impacted her well being.
She complained of Feeling of Disappointment and reaction to it from 1year made her Aggressive, Revengeful and Indifference from Society.
Follow up after 2Months:
She felt mentally at ease and signs of menses with delay in cycles.
After 1st Follow up on call : She got her cycle after 48 days.
Heavy flow with clotting.
Follow up After 3months:
She mentally felt better, Now she could sleep well and became more expressive .
She started interacting with close nit of people.
After 3months of medicine we achieved 2 cycles
Cycle – 40 days
Flow : Heavy but ceased at 7th day. Follow up After 6months:
Patient is much better mentally.
On analysis she was informed to recheck her Sr prolactin at 6months
We hereby achieved 3 cycles without any hormonal medication.
Her weight also dropped by 2 kgs in 6months.
Sr Prolactin now : 5.50ng/ml. This is an Ongoing case Plan to continue treatment and Recheck Sr Prolactin and USG after 3months to completely discontinue Medications.
